Founded in 2010, the Mile End Poets’ Festival showcases the eclectic literary, dance and musical culture which is so much a feature of this famous Montreal neighbourhood.

To participate in the festival is to get inside what fires up the poets and musicians of a district has given birth to music acts like Arcade Fire and Godspeed you Black Emperor.

The Mile End is also the home of Constellation Records, the Hotel2Tango recording studio, the Suoni per il Popolo Music Festival, the Words & Music Show, Drawn & Quarterly Bookstore and dozens of cafes and venues that feature spoken word, singer/songwriters, jazz and new music artists, poets and performers.
